You can edit service schedules by using the Schedules and Timeframes icon of BMC Impact Model Designer. Schedule information is stored in the BMC Atrium CMDB.
If you do not select a schedule for a CI, the CI will have a default schedule of 24 x 7 x 365 (always in schedule).
After creating service schedules, you can assign components to schedules in the Edit Component Properties dialog box as described in Assigning components to service schedules.
The Service Administrators and Service Managers user groups have access to the schedule editor.
The following table contains descriptions of the functions of icons used in the Schedules And Timeframes dialog box:

Service schedules are built from timeframes that you can create and edit by using the Schedules and Timeframes icon on the toolbar.

The following table provides descriptions of the fields in the Edit Timeframe dialog box:

Name | Name of the timeframe. |
Description | Description of the timeframe. |
Start, End | Time period for the beginning and end of the timeframe. Select Duration from the End list to set the duration of the timeframe. Alternatively, select Time from the End list to set the end period for the timeframe. |
Recurrence pattern | Defines the frequency in which the timeframe recurs. If you select a recurrence pattern on the left side, the list on the right side changes according to the selection you made. Besides the Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly timeframe options, you can select individual dates that are part of the timeframe by selecting Date List and choosing dates from the displayed calendar. |
Range of recurrence | Defines the start and end range of dates for the recurrence. Instead of choosing an end date, you can also enter the number of occurrences for the timeframe. |

The selected timeframe is deleted.
You can create and modify service schedules in BMC Impact Model Designer by using the New Schedule /Edit Schedule dialog box as shown the following figure:

In the Edit Schedule dialog box, enter or modify the appropriate information in the fields, as shown in the following table.

Timeframes in this Schedule | Information about the timeframes that are a part of the service schedule, and also which timeframes are high-demand, low-demand and which are available. Any time period not part of a service schedule is considered off schedule. High Demand Timeframes, at the left, contains timeframes during which the associated components exist in the service schedule period (as opposed to being off schedule). You can add or remove timeframes from this list by using the arrows between the timeframes. Available Timeframes, at the center, contains timeframes that are available to be added to the high demand or low demand timeframes periods. You can create a new a timeframe to include in the Available Timeframes list by clicking the New icon below the list. You can also edit timeframe in the list by clicking Edit. For information on the creating or editing timeframes, Working with timeframes Low Demand Timeframes, at the right, contains timeframes during which the associated components are treated as off schedule even though the time exists within the high demand period. |
