Configure the SNMP agent on the end-user experience component from which you want to receive SNMP traps or access the MIB information. To perform this procedure, you must have Operator-level access, or higher.
In the Real User Analyzer or Collector interface, point to Administration > Integration, and click Network management (SNMP).
In the Port box, enter the UDP port number on which you want the local agent to listen for incoming SNMP requests.
The default value is 161. You can change the default value to a port number between 1100 and 65535, according to your organization's policies for SNMP port settings.
To use SNMPv3 for MIBs and traps, specify an SNMP engine ID for the local agent. If you use SNMPv1 or v2c, the engine ID is optional.
To enter a value in the v3 engine ID box, perform one of the following actions:
Specify your own SNMP engine ID for the local agent.
The engine ID cannot consist of only zeros (or 0xF values in hexadecimal format).
Note
To use the SNMPv3 protocol, you must enter an engine ID. If you leave this field blank, the SNMPv3 capability is disabled.
