In the TrueSight console and as an application specialist, you can configure an application to receive an application incident event when an application impact status changes. This ensures that you are continuously notified for any change in the application impact status while you are monitoring important applications. For example, if an application impact status is Major and consequently changes to OK status, you receive an Application Incident Event depicting the change in status. Similarly, if an application impact status is Minor and consequently changes to Critical, you receive an Application Incident Event depicting the change in status. The following diagram shows an application incident event generated when the application impact status changes.
By default, an application context event configuration is enabled for all types of applications: manual, and automatic that are monitored in the TrueSight console for any change in the application impact status. To disable this feature, perform the following sequence of steps.
