You can use the contents of dashboards and dashlets outside the system, for example, embed it in third-party web applications.

The contents of shared dashboards and dashlets is available to any users, disregarding the BMC Real End User Experience Monitoring Software Edition permissions. To enable drilldown for dashboards and dashlets that are requested by the shared URL, you must allow drilldown on the shared dashlet.

Note

The sharing feature is not available for the Web page dashlet (Real User Analyzer) and the and system dashlets (What's new and Using dashboards).

To share a dashboard

  1. In a Real User Analyzer, open the Dashboards page.

  2. Click on the dashboard that you want to share.
  3. On the action menu beside the dashboard title, click Share.
  4. Specify the parameters of sharing:
    • Allow drilldown – enables drilldown from the shared dashboard
    • Show logs – enables you to view logs for the shared dashboard
    • Use HTTPS – secures sharing via the HTTPS protocol
  5. To share the URL, copy it or embed it in the target application.

To share a dashlet

  1. In a Real User Analyzer, open the Dashboards page.

  2. On the action menu of one of the dashboard's dashlets, click Share.
  3. Specify the parameters of sharing:
    • Allow drilldown – enables drilldown from the shared dashlet
    • Show logs – enables you to view logs for the shared dashlet
    • Use HTTPS – secures sharing via the HTTPS protocol
  4. Copy the URL that appears in the window and share it with the interested persons (or embed it in the target application).

Tip

To ensure correct display of dashboards or dashlets embedded into third-party web applications via the HTTPS protocol, make sure your web server supports self-signed server certificate from BMC Real End User Experience Monitoring Software Edition.
