The system considers an HTTP (and HTTPS) transaction completed for a number of different reasons, one of which is HTTP transaction timeout. A timeout occurs after a specified period of server or client inactivity.

You can set how many minutes and seconds the system waits after the last activity in the HTTP transaction before timing out. To perform this procedure, you must have Operator-level access, or higher.

To configure the HTTP transaction timeout period

  1. In the Real User Collector interface, go to Administration > Data flow settings, and click HTTP transaction timeout.
  2. From the Action menu for the HTTP transaction timeout section, select Edit.
  3. In the minute(s) and second(s) boxes, type how long you want the system to wait after the last HTTP activity in the transaction before timing out. The default timeout period is 30 seconds.
  4. Click Save.

    The system updates your settings.
