Information
Announcement Support for this product will end on November 3, 2025. We recommend that you use PATROL for Linux, PATROL for AIX, or PATROL for Solaris to monitor operating systems.

Viewing the Memory Used by the OS Kernel

  1. Access the MEMORY application class to view its parameters.
  2. Open the MEMUsedKernel parameter.
This parameter reports the amount of physical memory being used by the kernel.

    Warning

    Note

The MEMUsedKernel parameter is not available on the AIX, HP-UX, Solaris, and Linux platforms in the PSL collection mode.

BMC PATROL displays a graph that shows the real memory used by the kernel of the operating system over time.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
