Access the UNIX_OS application menu as described in Accessing KM Commands and InfoBoxes. Following table lists the commands on the UNIX OS application menu.

Refresh Parameters

Forces an update of the application parameter values

Knowledge Module Admin

Provides access to KM administration commands

Toggle PSL/DCM Collection

Selects the collection method for the PATROL KM for UNIX

Specify PERFORM Home Directory

Allows you to point the DCM application class to the location of the PERFORM Home directory if it is different than the location that BMC PATROL expects, which is $PATROL_HOME/<platform_target>/ BEST1

DISK Application

Displays commands for the DISK application

Edit DISK Exclusion List

Specifies DISK instances that BMC PATROL should ignore

Clear DISK Exclusion List

Removes all DISK instances from the DISK exclusion list

FILESYSTEM Application

Displays commands for the FILESYSTEM application

Edit FILESYSTEM Exclusion List

Specifies FILESYSTEM instances that BMC PATROL should ignore

Clear FILESYSTEM Exclusion List

Removes all FILESYSTEM instances from the FILESYSTEM exclusion list

PRINTER Application

Displays commands for the PRINTER application

Edit PRINTER Exclusion List

Specifies PRINTER instances that BMC PATROL should ignore

Clear PRINTER Exclusion List

Removes all PRINTER instances from the PRINTER exclusion list

Activate Monitoring

Activates monitoring all PRINTER instances that are not in the PRINTER exclusion list (monitoring is inactive by default)

Deactivate Monitoring

Stops monitoring of all PRINTER instances (monitoring is inactive by default)

NETWORK Application

Displays commands for the NETWORK application

Activate Monitoring

Activates monitoring all NETWORK instances

Deactivate Monitoring

Stops monitoring of all NETWORK instances

SNMPHealth

Displays commands for monitoring SNMPHealth

Activate Monitoring

Activates monitoring of SNMPHealth

Deactivate Monitoring

Stops monitoring of SNMPHealth (default setting)

Debug and Diagnostics

Provides access to a diagnostic report and debug controls for various collectors

Capture UNIX Diagnostics

Gathers basic installation information such as the computer's OS version, BMC PATROL target, Perform target, BMC PATROL Agent version, BMC PATROL Console version, PATROL_HOME location, BEST1_HOME location, and license information

DCM Debug Admin

Displays a dialog box that offers several debug options for the DCM functions and binary executable

DISK Debug Admin

Displays a dialog box that offers several debug options for the DISK application

FILESYSTEM Debug Admin

Displays a dialog box that offers several debug options for the FILESYSTEM application

NETWORK Debug Admin

Displays a dialog box that offers several debug options for the NETWORK application

NFS Debug Admin

Displays a dialog box that offers several debug options for the NFS application

PRINTER Debug Admin

Displays a dialog box that offers several debug options for the PRINTER application

SMP Debug Admin

Displays a dialog box that offers several debug options for Symmetric Multi-Processors (SMP) discovery and data collection

SWAP Debug Admin

Displays a dialog box that offers several debug options for the SWAP application

PROCESS Debug Admin

Displays a dialog box that offers several debug options for the PROCESS application

IPC Resource Usage Report

Displays a report containing shared memory usage, semaphores usage, a list of current shared memory segments, and a list of current semaphores for the current host

BGS Command Look

Runs the BGS Collect Look utility

Use Sudo

Allows you to use Sudo utility to execute root privileged command
