Announcement Support for this product will end on November 3, 2025. We recommend that you use PATROL for Linux, PATROL for AIX, or PATROL for Solaris to monitor operating systems.

Configuring the  Disks monitor type


This topic provides information about configuring the disks by using Central Monitoring Administration.

You can configure the disks under either of the following monitoring profiles:

On the Add Monitor Types dialog, with the Monitoring Profile set to Health At a Glance, and the Monitor Type set to Disks, provide the following details:

Description

Disk Inclusion/Exclusion

Disk Include/Exclude Operation

Host name

Specify the host name to filter the disks.

Exclude Disk

Specify disk name to exclude. Enter regular expression to exclude multiple disks. Multiple regular expressions can be entered by using a comma separator.

Include Disk

Specify disk name to include. Enter regular expression to include multiple disks. Multiple regular expressions can be entered by using a comma separator.

Add to List

To add the configured disk operation to the list of Disk Inclusion/Exclusion operations, click the button.

Modify Selection

To modify the configured disk operation to the list of Disk Inclusion/Exclusion operations, click the button.

Remove from List

To remove the configured disk operation from the list of Disk Inclusion/Exclusion operations, click the button.

Add

Click this option to add this monitoring configuration. This information is displayed on the Monitor Configuration page.

After you click this option, you can continue to add more objects for monitoring.

Reset

Click this option to clear off your configuration details and revert to default settings.

Close

Click this option to exit without saving any changes.
