Guidelines

Announcement Support for this product will end on November 3, 2025. We recommend that you use PATROL for Linux, PATROL for AIX, or PATROL for Solaris to monitor operating systems.

Announcing support for new platforms

BMC PATROL for UNIX and Linux now supports the following platforms:

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.8 x86, x86-64
  • CentOS 6.8 x86, x86-64
  • Oracle Enterprise Linux 6.8 (Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel) x86, x86-64

Note

Monitoring of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.8, CentOS 6.8 and Oracle Enterprise Linux 6.8 platform is supported only by the BMC PATROL Script Language (PSL) data collection method.
