Administrating XPC Server

The PATROL KM for UNIX uses a new XPC based collection mechanism to support Solaris 10 non-global zones due to the absence of Perform support for Solaris 10 non-global zones.

To Administer XPC Server

  1. Access the UNIX OS application menu as described in Accessing KM Commands and InfoBoxes.
  2. Select Debug and Diagnostics > PUK XPC Administration.
  3. In the PUKSERVER.XPC Admin dialog box, select the appropriate option to modify the Loglevel settings for PUKSERVER.XPC. Following table lists the options in alphabetic order.
For example, selecting INFORM logs the messages for all three log-levels (INFORM, WARNING, ERROR). The log messages are written to the file /tmp/PukDebug_pid.log, where pid is the XPC server ID of the running PUKSERVER.XPC.

Modify LogLevel Settings for PUKSERVER.XPC Options

  4. Select the appropriate check box to reinitialize POOL configuration settings. Following table describes the options.
