AIX VIRTUALIZATION hierarchy

The AIX VIRTUALIZATION application class enables you to configure and manage AIX micropartitions on POWER 5 servers.

This application class parameter monitors processor logical partitions provided in the AIX mircopartitioned environment. The information provided by the PATROL KM for UNIX is classified into configuration and CPU utilization information.

Eight parameters of AIX VIRTUALIZATION application, six parameters of CPU application and two parameters of DCM application class support AIX micropartitioning. The following figure illustrates the basic hierarchy. It does not necessarily display all the parameters in this application class.
