The variables described in this section are PATROL for Microsoft Exchange Servers agent configuration variables that are set in the PATROL Agent. To view these variables, use the wpconfig utility or the PATROL Configuration Manager.

Warning

Changing any of these variables can prevent some functions from working properly and can affect your entire installation. Before you change a variable, make a record of the original setting.

The following tables list all of the agent configuration variables in PATROL for Microsoft Exchange Servers. They are separated according to variables that can be modified and variables that should not be modified.

Managing configuration variables

BMC recommends that you set agent configuration variables by using a console to configure PATROL for Microsoft Exchange Servers KM files. Use the PATROL Configuration Manager or the wpconfig utility only to view variable settings or deploy them to other computers.
