tspsdeletecell

Use this command to delete the cells that are registered as a part of the BMC TrueSight Presentation Server external configuration.

Sometimes it might happen that you are unable to remove the cells that are listed in BMC TrueSight Presentation Server details from IT Data Analytics on the Administration > External Configurations page.

This can happen in the following two scenarios:

  • While deleting the BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management registration details on Presentation Server, IT Data Analytics was not up and running.
  • At the time of deleting Infrastructure Management registration details on Presentation Server, some data collectors or notifications created on IT Data Analytics were still in use and were connected with the Infrastructure Management cells.

 

In such a scenario, you can use this command to delete the cells that are registered as part of Presentation Server that is displayed on the External Configurations page.

Note

Prefix this command with the following, as appropriate:

  • For Windows: itda.bat
  • For Linux: ./itda.sh

tspsdeletecell -u <username> -w <password> -d <hostname> 

-p <portNo.> -tspscell <tsps cellname> -tspsprofilename <tsps.Profile name> 

[-l <locale>] [-v] [-s]

  • Angle brackets (< >) indicate a variable value that needs to be user defined.
  • Square brackets ([ ]) indicate optional parameters.

The following example provides the input for deleting a cell that belongs to the Presentation Server external configuration on IT Data Analytics.

tspsdeletecell -u admin -w admin12345 -d localhost -p 9797
