The preceding operating systems are applicable for both the product, the target hosts (where data resides), and for the standalone Collection Agent that you might install on the target hosts.

2 CPU's and 4 GB RAM  

Note: In a production environment, the minimum requirement would be 8 cores and 16 GB RAM for handling a 50-GB to 100-GB volume of data per day and upto four users. 

20 GB for installing IT Data Analytics in a single-server deployment. This value includes the amount of space required for some IT Data Analytics application log files that are expected to grow over time. Additionally, this value includes 15 GB required for ensuring data guarantee for the Collection Station component.

Note: If you are operating in a multiple-server deployment, you require 15 GB disk space for every new Collection Station added in your environment.

The disk space can vary depending on the following factors:

• Size of your environment
• Size of your log files (or the amount of data that you want to index)

Disk space required for your environment size can be estimated based on the recommendations described at Hardware sizing recommendations.

Disk space required for the amount of data that you want to index can be estimated as described in the following example.

Example: Disk space required for indexing 20 GB data per day with a default retention period of 7 days is approximately 160 GB. This value includes the amount of disk space required for installing the product.

This value is calculated as 20 GB (data to be indexed) * 7 (retention period) * 1.00 (storage impact) + 20 GB (disk space to install) = 160 GB disk space. For more information, see Sizing drivers and their impact.

2 GB for installing the standalone Collection Agent.

This value includes the amount of space required for some IT Data Analytics application log files.
