WAMP Variant on Windows 2008 R2 ZipKit

WAMP Variant refers to a software stack consisting of the Microsoft Windows operating system, the Internet Information Services (IIS) web server, the SQL Server 2008 database, and the PHP (Hypertext  Preprocessor) programming language. This combination is a common platform for web application development and deployment.

WAMP Variant ZipKit deployment models

The WAMP Variant ZipKit supports the following service deployment models:

Deployment model
Description
Single tier

IIS, PHP, and SQL Server are installed on a single instance of a server.

Multitier

IIS and PHP are installed on one instance of a server and SQL Server is installed on a separate instance of a server.
