The following figure and supporting instructions illustrate the high level process for using the BMC TrueSight IT Data Analytics product in your environment.

In the normal course of analyzing your data, you can perform the following steps:

  1. Search the data indexed and investigate your issue.
  2. Save the search to monitor suspected event trends.
  3. Perform one or more of the following actions:
    • Create custom views to see a real-time graphical summary of your search results
    • Create a notification to perform the following actions:
      • Send email alerts for abnormalities identified, with or without an attached PDF report that contains a summary of your search results.
      • Log events into the supported external systems.
