This section explains how a web service client's access to a web service API is controlled. It lists out the permissions that are required to access BMC ProactiveNet web services.

Permissions to access web service APIs

Your user role must have appropriate permissions to access data by using web service APIs. By default, some user groups and roles are assigned permissions to access a specific web service API. The following table lists the permissions required to access a specific web service API and the user groups and roles that can access the specific web service API by default.

If you want permissions to be assigned to other user groups, your administrator must assign them manually using BMC ProactiveNet Administration Console. For information about user groups and roles, see Managing users.
