Before you begin installing the BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management Triage and Remediation Solution, verify that your system meets the recommended systems requirements and has all prerequisite software installed and configured.
Warning
When installing a BSM Solution, the BMC Atrium Orchestrator Content Installer checks for prerequisite Remedy IT Service Management software. If the software is not present on the system, the Content Installer will not proceed. If you do not want to install BMC Remedy ITSM artifacts related to the BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management Triage and Remediation solution, then use the Custom Set path to install the Atrium Orchestrator Content. See Installation paths.

You must have installed and configured the BMC Atrium Orchestrator platform components, as described in Installing the BMC Atrium Orchestrator platform.
You must also download and run the BMC Atrium Orchestrator Content Installer, to install the various modules, adapters, and artifacts required by the solution. See Installing the BMC Atrium Orchestrator components for the solution.
If you are using BMC Remedy ITSM implementations, you must be running BMC Remedy ITSM and BMC Remedy Application Request System (ARS). BMC recommends you use the Content Installer to install the following preconfigured artifacts that are required for the solution:

Events can be processed with or without BMC Remedy ITSM implementations. If you do not want to install BMC Remedy ITSM artifacts related to the BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management Triage and Remediation solution, then use the Custom Set path to install the Atrium Orchestrator Content.
