New custom query operations

You can use the Value parameter in the PostgreSQL Custom Query (PGR_CUSTOM_SQL) monitor type to create a monitor that has an assigned value based on the result of the query. As long as the query result has exactly one value, the PostgreSQL KM can use this result to assign a monitor for the value.

Before this fix pack, the value had to be a numeric data type within the database for the monitor to work.

With this fix pack release, the KM can also take a text-based data type that has a numeric value and uses it as a numeric data type with the monitor.

For more information, see Using custom queries.
