PATROL for PostgreSQL is a monitoring product that enables you to monitor the local or remote PostgreSQL databases. This section contains information about the features in version 1.0.00 of the PATROL for PostgreSQL product.

Availability monitoring

When you add a PostgreSQL environment for monitoring, PATROL for PostgreSQL discovers the local or remote PostgreSQL database. The KM checks the availability of the PostgreSQL database, and monitors its environment, tablespaces, and custom queries.

For more information, see the PostgreSQL Environment, PostgreSQL Tablespaces, and Custom SQL Queries monitor types. By default, the alarm is disabled for the PostgreSQL database Status attribute.
