Selecting an event log to filter


This topic provides instructions for selecting an event log to filter.

Make sure that the event log that you select is enabled for monitoring.

To select an event log to filter

  1. Select the Event Log from the list of events provided for which you want to create a filter or modify a filter that you already created.
  2. To confirm your selection and move to the next dialog box, click Next.
    1. If you are creating a filter, the Configure Windows Event – Create Filter dialog box opens.
    2. If you are modifying a filter, a dialog box opens that contains a list of the filters for the selected event log, and you must select (highlight) the filter you want to modify and click Next again.
  3. To close this dialog box and exit the create filter process, click Done.
