| RoundTrip Internet monitoring measures the response time for delivery between an Exchange server and a foreign mail server. Enter the following details for monitoring the mail response time from Exchange Server to the foreign mail server: - Target mail server: Enter the DNS name of the foreign mail server. You can use either the full DNS name associated with the mail server or the name of the organization to which the mail server belongs to.
- Send interval (min): Select the send interval time in minutes. The default value is 5 minutes. The maximum time that you can select for collecting data is 7200 minutes.
- Warn after (sec): Select the time in seconds after which you want to set the warning alert. The default value is 60 seconds. The maximum value that you can select for warning alert is 7200 seconds.
- Alarm after (sec): Select the time in seconds after which you want to set the alarm. The default value is 90 seconds. The maximum value that you can select for setting the alarm is 7200 seconds.
- Non delivery report string: Enter the string you want to search in the returned NDR message .
- Attachment size (KB): Select the attachment size (in Kilobytes) included with the mail. The default value is zero. The maximum size that you can select is 20 Kilobytes.
- Perform one of the following steps:
- Click Add to List to to add the target mail server to the session settings list.
- Click Modify Selection to save changes made to the already added target mail server.
- Click Remove from List to remove a selected target mail server from the list.

| RoundTrip client monitoring measures the response time for delivery between an Exchange client, and an Exchange server. Enter the following details for monitoring the time required by the client to send messages, open messages, creating messages or delete messages: - Client host name:Enter the host name of the client, which has log in access to the Exchange Server and MAPI(Messaging API) installed on it.
- Domain user credentials: Enter the following details:
User Name: Enter the domain and user name in the following format: domain\username. WarningNote The domain and user name should be a member of the local administrator group on the client machine. - Password: Enter the password.
- Confirm Password: To confirm, enter the password again.
- Send interval (min): Select the send interval time in minutes. The default value is 5 minutes. The maximum time that you can select is 7200 minutes.

Enable the Device mapping check box to enable the device mapping for the configured client to server RoundTrip sessions. The configured client will be considered as a device.
WarningIf you are disabling this option, all the configured client to server sessions will be consolidated within the monitored Exchange server device level.

| RoundTrip server monitoring measures the response time for delivery between Exchange servers that are running PATROL for Microsoft Exchange Servers. Enter the following details for monitoring the time required for a message to complete a RoundTrip to the remote Exchange Server. - Target mail server: Enter the DNS name of the remote exchange server in your organization.
- Partner mailbox: Enter the mailbox used by the PATROL on the target exchange server.
- Send interval (min): Select the send interval time in minutes. The default value is 5 minutes. The maximum time that you can select is 7200 minutes.
- Warn after (sec): Select the time in seconds after which you want to set the warning alert. The default value is 60 seconds. The maximum value that you can select for warning alert is 7200 seconds.
- Alarm after (sec): Select the time in seconds after which you want to set the alarm. The default value is 60 seconds. The maximum value that you can select for setting the alarm is 7200 seconds.
