This topic describes how to upgrade from BMC Remedy ISTM - Mobility: Service Desk (Mobility) from version 7.6.06 to 7.6.07. 

Prerequisites

Mobility 7.6.06 must be installed and customized using the Administration Console.

To upgrade from the Mobility 7.6.06 server to the Mobility 7.6.07 server

Perform the following steps to upgrade the Mobility server. By doing so, all of the initial configuration will remain intact.

  1. Run the latest version of the Mobility 7.6.07 installer.
  2. Select the Upgrade Mobility Server.
  3. Continue with the normal installation of the Mobility server. For more information about the normal installation, see the Installing section.
  4. Login to the Dev Studio.
  5. Go to File > Import.
  6. Select Application as the import source.
  7. Select 7.6.07 Admin Console Def as the file to be imported.
  8. Check the Replace objects on the destination server box.
  9. In the Handle Conflicting Types menu, select Replace with New Type.
  10. Click Finish.
  11. Login to User Tool.
  12. Open the Mobility Administration:Tenant. form.
  13. Select Search all.
  14. Select No for SAML Authentication.
  15. Click Save.
  16. Open BMC Remedy Data Import Tool.
  17. Import the Cluster Version Data.arx file.
    The BMC Remedy Data Import screen is displayed.
  18. Select the Options tab.
  19. In the Number of Records per Transactions field, enter 100.
  20. In the Handle Duplicate Request IDs By: menu, select Update Old Record with New Record's Data.
  21. In the Match Duplicate Request By: menu, select Request ID.
  22.  In the If Any Requests Match: menu, select Use First Matching Request.
  23. Finish Importing.
  24. Restart the Mobility Server.
