Collection Agents collect data from the target hosts (where data resides) and forward it to the Collection Station.

Collection Agents can be of two types – Standalone Collection Agent and Collection Agent for the PATROL infrastructure.

Gets automatically installed when you install the product.

Collection Station serves a dual role – one of data collection and the other of acting as a proxy (or receiver) for Collection Agents that forward data to the IT Data Analytics server.

Serves as the user interface for performing all actions in the product.

The Console Server also acts as a gatekeeper for actions performed by using the CLI and REST APIs.

Processes search requests and runs scheduled notifications and reports.

Acts as an internal datastore for storing data collected by Collection Stations and Collection Agents.

Indexers provide indexing capability for all the log data collected.

Stores all configuration information, such as data collectors, dashboards, and saved searches.

This component does not store data collected by using the Collection Stations and Collection Agents.

Can be optionally used as an additional means of authenticating into IT Data Analytics.

This kind of authentication is required to be able to integrate with TrueSight Presentation Server.

Integration with TrueSight Infrastructure Management enables you to search and analyze Infrastructure Management events in IT Data Analytics. Also, IT Data Analytics can log events into TrueSight Infrastructure Management via notifications.

Hosts the TrueSight console which consumes events sent by IT Data Analytics.

To enable this integration, you need to register IT Data Analytics with TrueSight Presentation Server. Also, Infrastructure Management needs to be registered with TrueSight Presentation Server.

Integration with Remedy Action Request System allows you to collect and analyze Remedy data (changes and incidents) into IT Data Analytics.
