The Real User Cloud Probe monitors the network performance of traffic to a virtual machine through a cloud provider. The Cloud Probe sends information through the Real User Collector on a BMC Real End User Experience Monitoring system. Perform the following procedure to install the Cloud Probe through an installation wizard. You can also install the Cloud Probe silently.
Before you install the Cloud Probe, ensure that the following requirements are fulfilled:
Tip
For best results capturing end-user performance data, install the Cloud Probe on the host that provides load balancing services for an application. By binding the public interface used by the load balancing services, end-user transactions can be accurately measured and processed.
Before you run the installation utility, set up a DISPLAY environment.

command.Enter the Cloud Probe name and select the monitored network card from the list. Click Next.
To check, which of the available network cards (NICs) the Cloud Probe should monitor, open command line and run ifconfig
command. It returns a list of the NICs on the system.
The Cloud Probe Name can have up to 60 alphanumeric characters, hyphens (-), and underscore characters (_). The name is displayed in the Real User Collector.
In the BMC Real User Cloud Probe Configuration step, specify the display name of the Cloud Probe instance and the monitored network card. Click Install.
To check, which of the available network cards the Cloud Probe should monitor, open command line and run getmac /v
command. It returns the list of available network cards with name, type of the connection, network adapter, physical address and so on.
