Getting started with the Apache Tomcat on RHEL ZipKit
Apache Tomcat (or simply Tomcat) is an open source web server and servlet container developed by the Apache Software Foundation (ASF). Tomcat implements the Java Servlet and the JavaServer Pages (JSP) specifications from Sun Microsystems, and provides a pure Java HTTP web server environment in which Java code runs.

Where to download the ZipKit
- Download the Apache Tomcat ZipKit for RHEL 6.3 from the BMC Communities.
- Download MySQL packages from Red Hat Enterprise Linux 64 bit media as per your RHEL environment. The following files are the MySQL packages:

Prerequisite for the ZipKit
- Ensure that you have created a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.3 VM template in the vCenter.
- While creating the RHEL 6.3 template, you need to choose the following options for RHEL 6.3 operating system:
- Base System - Base, Large Systems Performance and Perl Support
- Development - Development Tools and Development Libraries
- Servers - Server Platform.
