Getting started with the Apache Tomcat on RHEL ZipKit
Apache Tomcat (or simply Tomcat) is an open source web server and servlet container developed by the Apache Software Foundation (ASF). Tomcat implements the Java Servlet and the JavaServer Pages (JSP) specifications from Sun Microsystems, and provides a pure Java HTTP web server environment in which Java code runs.

Prerequisite for the ZipKit
- Ensure that you have created a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.4 or 6.3 (RHEL 5.4 or 6.3) VM template in the vCenter.
- While creating the RHEL 5.4 or 6.3 template, you need to choose the following options for RHEL 5.4 or 6.3 operating system:
- Base System - Base, Large Systems Performance and Perl Support
- Development - Development Tools and Development Libraries
- Servers - Server Platform.
