The BMC TM ART adapter creates hierarchical groups based on the BMC TM ART Central host, project, and location name.

The following figure shows an example of the hierarchy of a BMC TM ART adapter instance, as it appears under the event group in the operator console navigation tree.

The figure shows the BMC TM ART host name in the top-level container. Project groups are displayed under the host group, and location groups are displayed under the project groups. Notice that the same location can be used in more than one project.

The following special characters, when used in the names of project, location, and transaction monitors, appear as underscores in Infrastructure Management: ' " & , < > / :

Note

In the Grid View of the Events Console, the monitor hierarchy is by project, rather than by host. In the Grid View, you can drill down to the transaction monitors.

The figure shows the host and project name, which together create the top-level container. Location instances are associated with projects, and transactions are associated with locations.
