BMC recommends that you install the components of BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management Reporting in the following sequence. For detailed information about the sequence for a new installation, see Sequence for a new installation
- Install BMC ProactiveNet version 9.0.00. (BMC ProactiveNet supports both Sybase and Oracle Database.)
Install Oracle Database version 11.2.0.2.0, Enterprise edition with Partitioning option. BMC recommends that you have a dedicated computer for Oracle Database and a dedicated Oracle instance for BMC ProactiveNet Report Engine.
Note
Oracle Database is not part of the BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management Suite. It has to be procured by the customers.
- Install SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 SP3 on a separate computer. BMC recommends that you have a dedicated computer for SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise.
Install BMC ProactiveNet Report Engine version 9.0.00 on a separate computer. BMC recommends that you have a dedicated computer for BMC ProactiveNet Report Engine.
Note
One installation of BMC ProactiveNet Report Engine supports only one BMC ProactiveNet Server.
