AppSight allows you to encrypt the recorded log with a symmetric key. The encryption process contains the following steps:
- Create a key, or assign the Recording Profile with a key of your own.
- Record the application. The recording results in an encrypted log file.
- The key is required to open the log.
To set the Recording Profile with encryption and password protection:
- Right-click the active session in the Black Box pane and select Recording Profile from the popup menu. The Recording Profile's screen opens.
- Click the Recording Profile's Security tab.
- Select Sign Recording Profile and enter a local key file. You can create such a file on the spot and save it to your local disk.
- Save the Recording Profile (optionally).
- Start recording.
- Save the recorded session into a log file. The recorded session is encrypted with the key you previously provided.
Using a Secured Recording Profile:
Opening a previously saved encrypted Recording Profile allows you to select whether to encrypt the present recording session.
