The Black Box records information to reproduce a video-type "movie" of what happens on the screen, including GUI interactions, and end-user events of the application(s) being recorded.
- Open the Recording Profile screen and click the User & Resources tab.
- Select from the following:
- Select Record Screen Capture to record mouse clicks, key strokes and other GUI input.
- Select Timer events to record events set by an internal timer of the recorded application.
- Select Time interval and set its size to set the pace of the recording.
- Select User events only to record events set by the user and to exclude timer events.
- Select Apply DirectX for screen captures using Direct X.
- Select Record User Operations:
- Select Mask Key Strokes to hide the user's key strokes from the recording.
- Select Load .NET assemblies information from recorded processes to enhance performance when recording .NET assemblies (see Recording .NET assemblies).
- Select Record application configuration to allow for inquiring into the application's configuration for trying to access files that do not exist, etc.
- Select Record System Performance and set its time interval to record additional system counters.
- Select Enable transaction follow-up by marked HTTP requests when following transactions (see Following a Transaction).
- Click Apply.
