This topic describes the contents of the application server table. Data is displayed in the application server table according to the selected filters.

The following table describes the contents of each column.

Column

Description

Name

Host name and port used by the application server. Click the expand icon to see server statistics and metrics.

Click an application server name to review the traces captured on the server.

Application

Name of the application in which the transaction occurred

Type

Application server type, such as WebLogic or IIS. If the application server type is not recognized, Java or .NET (depending on the platform) is displayed.

Availability (%)

Percentage of the total time that the server was available

Transactions

Total number of transaction instances that occurred. Not all of these transactions are persisted by BMC Application Diagnostics.

Latency

Percentage of entry points that breached the BMC Application Diagnostics Agent threshold. In parentheses, following the percentage, is the number of occurrences on which the percentage is based.

Errors

Percentage of transaction instances that resulted in an exception or returned error. These errors typically indicate a problem with the availability of an application.

The Java version of the BMC Application Diagnostics Agent cannot detect returned HTTP error codes.

Memory (MB)

Average amount of memory, in megabytes, used by the application server

CPU (%)

Average percentage of CPU usage

Threads

Average number of threads in use

Deadlocks

Average number of deadlocks

Application server statistics and metrics

The application server Statistics table and the Server Metrics graphs display the average, minimum, and maximum values for monitored metrics over the selected time range.

The following image displays the data for a selected application server.
