PATROL for Oracle Tuxedo is a management and monitoring solution for Oracle Tuxedo.

Key features of the PATROL for Oracle Tuxedo product include:

  • Ability to monitor large Tuxedo environments
  • Monitoring of non-critical servers through events; when a critical event occurs on a server that is configured to be monitored only through events, alarm icons are created in the monitoring console
  • Ability to select components for monitoring
  • Use of HealthStatus parameters for key components to reflect not just an "up or down" status, but to help identify components that are degrading or showing potential problems before they become critical
  • Visualization of Management Information Base (MIB) object hierarchy and current running status
  • Forwarding of Tuxedo system events from the Event Broker to the PATROL event management system
  • Tuxedo system security management
  • Tuxedo queue subsystem management, including:
  • Adding and deleting queue space
  • Creating, deleting and configuring application queues; and
  • Monitoring disk space usage and IPC resources
  • Monitoring of critical Tuxedo system run time servers to ensure system availability
  • Interface to the ULOG file for retrieving critical messages and for run time tracing of transaction executions
  • Menu commands for accessing Tuxedo administrative utilities
  • Migration capabilities that enable synchronization between servers, server groups, and machines through master and backup nodes
