  1. There is a missing piece of text in the "Identifying the supporting Database" paragraph.

    Please find the part:

"After retrieving the location and instance of the Database, the pattern sets the sap flag in its SoftwareInstance. This can be used to identify any Database supporting SAP, by using a query similar to the following:" ???????????

The text stops here without providing the example query, and then continues with the next topic (Extracting Licensing Data).

I'm interested in this example query...

    1. I have updated the relevant section. Thank you for letting us know about this.

      1. great, the query is working, thanks!

I'm producing only one result and it happens to be the OracleDB running on the SAME host as the SAP App Server (co-located) so i'm curious, once I scan the entire estate with ADDM, could this query return a DB running on a different host (without SAP Application Server)? I expect "yes" but just to be sure....?

        1. A qualified 'yes' - in that the DB server has to be found and it may take more than one scan of the estate (or the relevant hosts) for ADDM to build up the model to enable the DB server to be found.

      2. How come this document UPDATED BY date did not change?
        It still says:

Updated by: Nikola Vukovljak 17 Feb 2012

        instead of today's date...

        1. It isn't automatic and I forgot to do it. (smile)
          Done now.
