  1. Can the basic ID be put in place without error checking?

We have a customer who has granted least privilege to the DC's where we can only use WMI with no dsquery  or remquery.

The trigger on process works great but the error checking stops the SI from being created.

We only require the SI with no deep dive on AD at all.

Creating the basic SI before error checking would be useful.

FYI, triggering on process rather than service also helps with having only User level access to WMI - thank you (smile)

  2. You're right, we should do this.  I've raised a bug to request we do.  If you contact support they'll give you a bug number so you can monitor the progress

  3. Dear Matt Lambie,

Issue you have described was fixed in TKU-Mar-01 (DRDC1-14444). The logic of false-positive check was changed, and now it requires less privileges.

At the moment pattern uses WMI query as false-positive check, and stops if this query fails, otherwise - results are used to determine Domain Controller Role.
