In TKU August we extended our support for the Network Deployment Edition, and are now able to map interdependencies among Cells, Nodes and Servers. These 3 elements are mapped via Client/Server relationships. See the relevant Section for more details.
We also added a Regular Expression method to extract Edition and Versioning.
Finally, we enabled support for the Node Agent's and Deployment Manager's running on Windows platforms.
In TKU March 2010 we extended our patterns with populating JMX port information attributes which then can be used for deep discovery of WebSphere instances.
In TKU October 2010 the profile_dir attribute was added to the Software Instance
In TKU September 2011 the method for finding the versioning file was improved. The pattern now runs a command to find the file and only in case the command does not work it uses the previous method of iterating through the list of known editions in order to retrieve the correct file.
In TKU January 2012 the grep expression for listing .product file was strengthened to avoid bogus entries. (QM001731481)
A new entry was added to the list of package expressions to obtain version correctly. (QM001733251)
A minor correction was made to the regular expression obtaining the installation root. (#15290)
In TKU December 2012 the pattern has had a minor update to ensure mapping of certain attributes to Atrium CMDB BMC_Product CI matches Atrium Product Catalog Data (as published by BMC)
In TKU March 2013 the path to the product file on Windows platform was fixed.
In TKU August 2013 the Extended discovery source_name regex was updated to prevent ECA error
In TKU September 2013 the WebSphere Application Server pattern was enhanced with an alternative approach to obtaining server name, Cell name and Node name to cater for situations where trigger process arguments are truncated (QM001800837). This approach relies on the customer having set the custom property "com.ibm.websphere.management.launcher.options=displayServerInFront" at the Cell scope.
In TKU December 2013 there was a small bug fix to ensure all additional attributes were displayed on the software instance. Furthermore,
the WebSphere Application Server pattern was updated to allow running of 'ls' command as privileged user (if configured in UNIX/Linux platform scripts via PRIV_LS) when determining edition
In TKU February 2014 we updated the trigger block with extra arguments to support the case when the Application Server is started with server, cell and node names in front of all arguments.
In TKU April 2014 server, node and cell names extraction was updated.
In TKU May 2014 Fixed a way of obtaining version information from triggering process(TKU-2204).
In TKU Jun 2014 profile_dir attribute had been added to Deployment Manager SI.
In TKU Dec 2014 the pattern was update to correctly handle the situation when a resources candidate path begin with "." symbol.(QM001864923).
In TKU April 2015 the pattern was updated with the following changes:
In TKU November 2015 the pattern was updated with the following changes:
In TKU February 2016 added active and file versioning for Network Deployment edition. Added "cluster_name" and "cluster_node_id" attributes for WAS cluster modeling purposes(DRDC1-5504).
In TKU April 2016 added alternative method of search for the related Node Agent hosts using nslookup command.(DRDC1-6011).
In TKU June 2016 added "heap_min_size", "heap_max_size", "fix_pack" attributes to the SI(DRDC1-5942).
In TKU December 2016 'listen_tcp_sockets', 'listen_ssl_tcp_sockets' attributes were added(DRDC1-7528).
In TKU January 2017 added filter to avoid setting environment variables into "listen_tcp_sockets", "listen_ssl_tcp_sockets" and "listening_ports" additional attributes.
In TKU march 2017 support for installation on IBM PowerHA Cluster was added for WAS Deployment Manager (DRDC1-7514)
In TKU April 2019 the following changes were made:
In TKU July 2019 the following changes were made:
In TKU October 2019 the following changes were made:
In TKU March 2020 updated regex to extract cell, node and server name (DRDC1-14462)
Updated linkage between WebSphere App server and WebSphere MQ queue manager (DRDC1-15002)
InUpdated active versioning to use privilege mode in case of normal execution failure (DRDC1-14663)
