Product Description

IBM Optim allows you to assess, classify, subset, archive, store, and access enterprise application data across databases and platforms.
With the archiving or data growth features of Optim, you can segregate historic data from current activity and safely remove it to secure offline storage, access the archived data easily, and restore archived data to its business context when necessary.
The Optim test data management capacity lets you create and populate appropriately sized development and test environments, automatically or manually edit the data in these environments to match your test cases, and compare test results with your original data.
Data privacy features help you to prevent misuse of information by masking, obfuscating, and privatizing personal information that is propagated outside your production environment.

  • Scheduler allows you to schedule process requests to be executed in unattended mode.
  • The Configuration program allows you to configure the first and additional workstations to use Optim. You can also establish security and perform various tasks to maintain the system environment.
  • The Server allows you to process resource-intensive tasks away from the workstations to reduce network traffic and improve efficiency, to process data that resides in a UNIX® or Linux® environment, or to use Optim Open Data Manager to access archived data.
