Mercury acquired Freshwater, and its products, SiteScope and SiteSeer in May, 2001 and retired the Freshwater Software name.
HP later acquired Mercury renaming the software as HP Mercury SiteScope. Starting from version 8.0 product is named HP SiteScope.
