TKU July 2008

The following improvements were made:

  • Introduced an additional pattern to the module that enables identification of EMC PowerPath on the Unix (currently, Solaris and Linux) platform.
  • Introduced an additional pattern to bridge the significant difference in the way the product is identified on the Windows and Unix platforms.
  • Updated the algorithm (used for package versioning in the Windows platform patterns, such as PowerPath Server and PowerPath Administration Service) to correspond to the algorithm now used in all patterns. The new algorithm prevents ECA Engine errors by ensuring that only packages with version information are considered.
