After you log on to the BMC Application Management Console for the first time, configure the BMC Application Diagnostics Portal address so that the Console can display the transaction and trace data.

Note

This step is required for on-premises users, or for service providers who want to monitor their own system.

For service providers who want to configure tenants, see Creating a tenant for BMC Applicaton Diagnostics and associating a Diagnostics Portal.

To perform this procedure, you must have Administrator-level access, or higher.

Use the following procedure to configure the Portal address: 

  1. In the Console, from the System Access tab, click Diagnostics Management > System Configuration.
  2. In the Portal Address panel, click the arrow in the upper-right corner and select Edit.
  3. Enter the Portal connection information.

    ProtocolConnection protocol that reflects the security level set during BMC Application Diagnostics Portal installation (HTTP or HTTPS)
    Host Name / IP AddressHost name or IP address of the Portal computer
    PortPortal port
  4. Click Save.
