Required ports


This page lists the port numbers and associated network traffic that are used by the BMC Digital Workplace application. The ports must be open to enable communication through the firewall for the applications to operate successfully. If port numbers have been changed from the default values then modify the firewall configuration to match.

BMC Digital Workplace network ports to enable

For the BMC Digital Workplace  and Smart IT server and client applications, you must verify that the following ports are open and enable communication through the firewall:

TCP port 5223 outbound from iOS devices to 17.0.0.0/8

TCP port 443 outbound from iOS devices to 17.0.0.0/8, as a fallback over WiFi when devices cannot communicate over port 5223
