Downloading the BMC Digital Workplace Catalog installation files


You obtain the product installation files by downloading them from the BMC Electronic Product Distribution (EPD) website. Your ability to access product pages on the EPD website is determined by the license purchased by your company.

The following topics describe options for downloading the installation files for BMC Digital Workplace Catalog, which provides the enhanced catalog for BMC Digital Workplace.

Before you begin

This topic is part of the Preparing-for-installation-of-BMC-Digital-Workplace-Catalog process. The previous step in this process is to complete the Installation-worksheets-for-BMC-Digital-Workplace-Catalog.

When to download a service pack or patch

For a fresh installation or an upgrade, check the Release notes to determine the latest update and then download the following items:

  • The latest release, service pack, or patch (if available). For service packs and patches, the BMC Digital Workplace Catalog installer will install the full product.
  • Any hotfixes that are available for known issues.

If you sign up for Proactive Notification, you will be notified about new service packs or patches for applying the latest changes, as well as bulletins about critical fixes.  

Installation files

The following table describes the files on the EPD website that contains the installation files for this product. From the EPD page, you can select and download the installation files for your platform. Access to the EPD website requires that you provide your BMC Support credentials. You might also be prompted to complete or confirm the Export Compliance Form.

Use the following links to download the files for BMC Digital Workplace Catalog 19.08:

 1 Compatible with BMC Remedy IT Service Management version 18.08.01 or later.
You must configure connections for ITSM functionality as described in Integrating-Remedy-applications-with-BMC-Digital-Workplace-Catalog.

 2 Required for BMC Remedy IT Service Management version 18.08 or earlier.
You must configure connections for ITSM functionality as described in Integrating-Remedy-applications-with-BMC-Digital-Workplace-Catalog.

To verify the files

Locate the files you downloaded and verify the SHA256 checksum results before installation.

Tip

You can use any SHA256 checksum tool to verify the checksum results.
