Creating virtual marketplace entitlements

Service catalog administrators, internal service suppliers, and asset managers create virtual marketplaces to associate services, bundles, and banners that appear in a BMC Digital Workplace user's catalog with users who can access them.

This topic describes how to create virtual marketplace entitlements.

Before you begin

To create a virtual marketplace

  1. From the main menu, click Entitlements.
  2. Click New Virtual Marketplace.

  3. Enter a Virtual Marketplace Name, and click Create.

To edit, rename, or remove an existing virtual marketplace, select a virtual marketplace, and click (menu option)

Tip

If you have many virtual marketplaces with similar names, and it takes time to find them on the Entitlements page, use a CTRL F browser search, and search virtual marketplaces by name.

You create entitlements by adding services, bundles, banners, users, attributes, groups, and administrators to a virtual marketplace.

You can add users to virtual marketplaces in any of the following ways:

  3. Select the service catalog items to add, and click Add.

To add user groups

Groups are unique to BMC Digital Workplace Catalog, and created when you add or synchronize BMC Remedy IT Service Management users and groups. The synchronization process creates three different groups, based on the following information from the BMC Remedy IT Service Management CTM:People table:

  • Company
  • Company - Organization
  • Company - Organization - Department

When you add a user group to a virtual marketplace, the users within that group are entitled to the items attached to the virtual marketplace.

Perform the following steps to add user groups to a virtual marketplace:

  1. Beside the Attributes, click Add.
  2. Click the Custom Groups tab.

  3. Search for a group that you want to add.
  4. Select the group, and click Save.

To add users from dynamic filters by ITSM Core attributes
