Managing Azure Provider users
This topic provides information about managing multiple user accounts for the Azure Provider. You can add multiple Microsoft Azure user accounts, and edit or delete an existing user account.
To manage Azure provider users when you use Azure Resource Manager
In BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management 4.6.04 and later, if you created a custom provider by using Azure Resource Manager (with or without templates), you can manage users who can access the provider.
- Create a service principal account in Microsoft Azure Resource Manager, as described in Setting up a Tenant ID, Client ID, and Client Secret for Azure Resource Manager provisioning.
- From the BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management Administration Console, open the Providers workspace, and select Custom provider type.
- Select the Azure provider you registered.
- Click the Mapping User Account button
to open the Manage User Accounts dialog box.
- In the User Name field, enter the name of a user you would like to add, and press Enter.
You can enter any text string. The user name is a reference for your user mapping. This name is not used to create the user. Tenant ID, Client ID, and other parameters are used instead. - In the table under the User Name field, enter the values for the following authentication parameters (which are determined when you set up the integration):
- Subscription ID
- Tenant ID
- Client ID
- Client Secret
- Base URL
- Azure Environment - You can enter one of the following values for this field:
- AZURE - This value needs to be set if target Cloud platform is Azure Public portal.
- AZURE_CHINA - This value needs to be set if target Cloud platform is Azure China portal.
- AZURE_GERMANY - This value needs to be set if target Cloud platform is Azure Germany portal.
- AZURE_US_GOVERNMENT - This value needs to be set if target Cloud platform is Azure US Government portal.
To edit a user:
- Select the user name from the table on the left.
- Click the Edit button
.
- Make the necessary changes in the parameter table.
- Click Save.
- To delete a user, select the user name, and click the Delete button
.
