Installing BMC Atrium Orchestrator Development Studio

The installer does not automatically install BMC Atrium Orchestrator Development Studio along with BMC Atrium Orchestrator – Server.

Note

BMC Atrium Orchestrator Development Studio is available for installation only on Microsoft Windows.

To install BMC Atrium Orchestrator Development Studio

  1. Make sure that the Oracle Java JDK and JRE 1.7 64-bit are installed.
  2. Set the JAVA_HOME system variable.
  3. Add %JAVA_HOME%\bin to the Path system variable.
  4. Update the Terminal Services configuration options and configure the DEP feature.
    For more information, see Preparing to run the installer on a Windows computer.
  5. On the installer computer, navigate to the AO-DevStudio folder.
    Go to C:\InstallPlanner\media\Applications\AO-DevStudio.
  6. Copy the AO-DevStudio folder to the target computer. 
  7. Drill down to the Windows folder and extract the Installer.ZIP file. 
  8. Double-click windows_bao_devstudio_installer_7_6_03.exe to launch the Atrium Orchestrator Developer Studio installer.
  9. When the installer starts, click OK.
    You can select a language other than English.
  10. At the Notification page, click Next.
    You can safely ignore the unrestricted mode warnings.
  11. At the Welcome page, click Next.
  12. Agree to the license terms and then click Next.
  13. At the Installation Type page, click Next.
    The default setting is Install a new Development Studio.
  14. Browse to the Java VM (the Java executable) and then click Next.
  15. At the Directory Selection page, click Next.
    The default location is C:\Program Files\BMC Software\AO\Studio.
  16. At the Workspace Location page, click Next.
    The default location is C:\Users\Administrator\DevStudio.
  17. Click Next to create a product icon in a new BMC program group.
  18. Click Install to start the installation.
  19. When the installation is finished, click Done.
  20. Select Start > All Programs > BMC > Development Studio to launch Atrium Orchestrator Development Studio.
