Installation order and product dependencies
Install the products of the BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management solution in the order shown in this topic. Some products in the solution depend on other products being installed first, and products are enabled for installation based on their dependencies. For example, the Cloud Database Extensions installation field is enabled when you provide a host name during the BMC AR System Server - Cloud Portal and Database - Primary installation.
1. BMC AR System Server - Cloud Portal and Database - Primary
3. BMC Atrium Core Web Registry
4. BMC Server Automation - File Server
5. BMC Server Automation - App Server and Console
6. BMC Server Automation - Multiple App Server (MAS) (Optional)
7. BMC Atrium Orchestrator - Configuration Distribution Peer
8. BMC Atrium Orchestrator - Configuration Distribution Peer (HA) (Optional)
12. Cloud Portal AR Extensions - Primary
13. BMC AR System Server - Cloud Portal and Database - Secondary (Optional)
14. Cloud Portal AR Extensions - Secondary
16. BMC Server Automation - Advanced Repeater (Optional)
17. BMC Network Automation - Device Agent (Optional)
When you launch the BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management Installer, it validates the products that you select for installation and verifies their dependencies. If you choose to install a product that has a dependency, the installer instructs you to first install its dependency. For example, you are prompted to install BMC Atrium Orchestrator - Server before you install Cloud Platform Manager. The following figure illustrates the installation order when you install the Small Deployment Type:
As shown in this example, you can enter all the target hosts before you start installation. Only required products were selected. If necessary, you can install products in multiple sessions.
