Installation order and product dependencies
This topic provides the installation order that BMC recommends using when installing the products in the BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management solution. Some products in the solution depend on other products being installed first, and products are enabled for installation based on their dependencies. For example, the Cloud Database Extensions installation field is enabled when you provide a host name during the BMC AR System Server - Cloud Database Primary installation.
When you launch the BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management Installer, it validates the products that you select for installation and verifies their dependencies. If you choose to install a product that has a dependency, the installer instructs you to first install its dependency. For example, you are prompted to install BMC Atrium Orchestrator - Server before you install Cloud Platform Manager.
If more than two products meet the product dependencies and are available for installation in the installer, you can install the products in the same session. However, BMC recommends that you install not more than two products in a session. The recommended order is shown in the following table.
