Downloading the eZDeploy utility

Perform the following steps:

  1. Make sure that you have access to communities.bmc.com.

  2. Download the eZDeploy zip file from communities.bmc.com and extract it in the folder structure of your choice. For example:

    • (Microsoft Windows) Extract the zip file toC:\Users\Administrator
    • (Linux) Copy the ezDeploy tar.gz file from communities.bmc.com and extract it to: /opt

    Note

    You do not need to install the utility. Based on your system, untar or unzip the downloaded eZDeploy utility, as follows:

    • (Microsoft Windows) Use winzip/WinRAR to unzip the file (eZDeploy-2.1-Windows.zip)
    • (Linux) Run the command tar -xvzf eZDeploy-2.1-Linux.tar.gz
  3. Navigate to the eZDeploy directory.

  4. Perform the appropriate option:

    • (Microsoft Windows) Run eZDeploy.cmd
    • (Linux) Run ezDeploy.sh

    The eZDeploy shell opens, as shown in the figure below:

  5. (Applies only for LinuxChange the eZDeploy.sh script permissions using the following command:

    chmod +x eZDeploy.sh
