Identifying expiring AWS reserved instances

Use the Existing AWS Reserved Instances page to get a quick view of the number of AWS reserved instances that are expiring in the current month. 

In the navigation pane of the TrueSight console , select Cloud Cost Control and click Cost Optimization > AWS Reserved Instances.

Information

The AWS Reserved Instances page is displayed only if you are using the AWS cloud provider.


On the page, click <Number> Existing Reserved Instances 

Before you begin (Only for upgrade scenario)

If you have upgraded to the current version of the product, recover the historical AWS data to evaluate the AWS reserved instance costs. For more information, see Upgrading.

To identify expiring AWS reserved instances

  1. In the navigation pane of the TrueSight console , select Cloud Cost Control and click Cost Optimization > AWS Reserved Instances

    If there are any AWS reserved instances that will expire this month, then the total count is displayed in the Reserved Instances Summary section on the page. 


    You can drill down to view details of these reserved instances and analyze it further. 


  2. Analyze details of the expiring reserved instances

    Click the <number> expiring this month link.


    The Expiring reserved instances page opens that displays details of only those reserved instances that are expiring in the current month.
