Architecture

The architecture for Ceph Storage is designed to provide comprehensive oversight of the entire storage infrastructure.

Components

  • Ceph Cluster: The core of the architecture consists of the Ceph cluster, comprising OSDs (Object Storage Daemons), MONs (Monitor nodes), and MGRs (Manager nodes). These components collectively store and manage data in a distributed manner.
  • Monitoring Nodes: Dedicated monitoring nodes are integrated into the architecture to oversee the health, performance, and security of the Ceph cluster. These nodes gather data from various sources within the cluster.

Monitoring Tools

PATROL Agent continuously interfaces with the monitoring nodes to aggregate and analyze data. This tool provides real-time insights into the state of the Ceph cluster.
